Anything is possible: The difference a slight action has on our life!

Just as there are two sides to a single coin, the words we often use for comfort can also hold a darker meaning.

As a writer, I get my motivations and insights from observation. I believe the bestselling stories, the ones that resonate deeply, are born not from grand pronouncements, but from the subtle everyday details—the mundane junks, as they are called, hold the key to literature, and dare I say, life.

Just the other day, I was out with my friends at a skating park catching up when one gentleman caught my eye. He was in his 20s, tall, dark, and handsome. But it was his determination that took my attention away. He was trying to learn a new trick on his skateboard, and I watched that man fall, and without missing a beat, get up and try again for more than half an hour.
And around the corner, I saw a group of men standing and chitchatting. They all had their gear on, some didn't have the proper protection, but none of them could skate. From how familiar they were with the giant place, I assumed they went there often, but as irony hit its limit, they were making fun of the guy that was trying and failing.
This humbled me real quick, because it showed me the type of competition I had in life. In a world of embracing uniqueness and popularization of "being your own type of special," it is often easy to forget, at the end of the day, we are all running the same race. And that's when this scary thought entered my brain: Anything is possible! A person's fate is mostly in his/her hands.
We are used to this sentence in a positive light, but it equally highlights our biggest nightmares as well. It is possible for a person to learn a complicated skating trick, but it is also possible to spend a lifetime in the skating park without learning the basics of skating.
It is possible for your dreams and wildest desires to eventually come true, even the specific ones. But there is also an equal percentage of your life staying the same and even getting worse when the world takes a turn. This is not mostly talked about but it is the terrifying truth of our universe. Anything is possible.
So if that is the case, I asked myself, what is the difference between the people that make it in life and the ones that don’t? I went back to observation and studying the lifestyles of the people that were successful in my eyes. Beyond the sophistication of our differences, I found the answer to be extraordinarily simple: they simply started.

They all knew nothing about the field, nor did they have the necessary materials and support to achieve their dreams at the start. But they all understood life is progress. It is made up of simple, seemingly irrelevant moments that define a person.
The success of Van Gogh might have started after he died, but his greatness began when he picked up his first brush. Kenenisa wasn’t born with trained legs that could run 10,000 meters, but he was disciplined enough to show up and start. And it wasn’t easy; it was probably hard. But the hardest part ends when you set up your mind and take the first step. Our thoughts are our biggest haters; nothing holds a person back more than his/her own thoughts. It wasn’t programmed for success; it was programmed for comfort. So if you don’t win the war inside your head and pick up your first brush, there is a chance you will not make it in life, and I hope you are fine with that.
Let me add one more thing: Anything is possible. The journey after you start will not be easy, but it will be easier than starting. After a person believes in his/her own dreams and starts the journey with determination and discipline, everything else is learnable and achievable. Three hundred "No's" from people won't stop you if there is a "yes" within you for your own dreams.
